USD GOLFERS TIED FOR 7TH WITH ONE ROUND TO GO AT NORTHWEST COLLEGIATE CLASSIC

(Corvallis, OR) - The USD men's golf team finds itself tied for 7th after two rounds of play at the 2006 Northwest Collegiate Classic at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Oregon. USD's team scores were 295 and 303 today where they sit at 598. Oregon is leading the ten-team event at 576, and is followed by San Francisco (587), Oregon State (587), Long Beach State (589), UC Irvine (589), and Saint Mary's (589). USD is tied with Washington State, and are ahead of College of Charleston (602) and the University of Portland (603). The top three individuals are Zach Bixler of Washington (139; 69-70), Matt Ma of Oregon (141; 67-74) and Jay Choe of UC Irvine (142; 73-69). For USD, Coe is followed by Dale Smith (T43rd at 152; 73-79), Kenneth McCready (T43rd at 152; 79-73), Joe Panzeri (T49th at 153; 74-79), Darrin Hall (T55th at 154; 79-75), and Mike Barry (T55th at 154; 79-75).
