MACON, Ga. - Gonzaga University's Brandon Crick shot a final-round 1-under-par 71 to move into a tie for 21st at the Brickyard Golf Collegiate Championships.
Crick finished with rounds of 71-75-71 over the 7,128-yard, par 72 Brickyard at Riverside Golf Course for a 54-hole total of 217 to improve 11 spots from a tie for 32nd after 36 holes. Derek Cheney was the only other bright spot for the Bulldogs on Tuesday's final round, shooting a 74 to finish at 227 and a tie for 52nd after opening rounds of 76-77.
Gonzaga shot a final-round 301 to finish at 907 for 12th place, a spot they held entering Tuesday's final round. The University of Georgia finished 33-under-par for an 831 to take the team title by eight strokes over Clemson University.
Harris English of Georgia, competing as an individual, came back for a final-round 68 to edge teammate Brian Harman by one stroke for medalist honors. English finished at 204 - including his course-record 65 to open the tournament. Harman shot a final-round 71 to finish at 205.
