Behind junior Eric Shriver's final-round 1-over par 73, the No. 25 Pepperdine men's golf team posted a third-round total of 297 and finished 14th at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate that concluded Sunday at the par-72, 7,147-yard The Ridges Golf & Country Club in Jonesborough, Tennessee.
The Waves shot rounds of 312-304-297 for a 49-over par score of 913.
Tennessee won the team title after shooting a final-round 3-under par 285 to finish at 5-over par 869 and register a one-shot victory over host East Tennessee State. The Buccaneers posted an even-par score of 288 on Sunday to finish at 6-over par 870.
North Carolina (874) was third followed by Alabama (875) and Wake Forest (882).
East Tennessee State's Ryhs Davies shot a third-round score of 1-under par 71 en route to finishing at 5-under par 211 and registering a three-shot victory over Tennessee teammates Philip Pettitt and Charles Ford, who completed play at 2-under par 214.
Shriver was the top individual performer for Pepperdine as he tied for 33rd with an 8-over par total of 224.
Pepperdine resumes its fall schedule on Monday, October 23, when it hosts The Club Glove Intercollegiate at Saticoy Country Club in Somis.
