USD Golfers in 12th with one round to play at The Prestige

(La Quinta, CA) - The USD men's golf team finds itself in 12th place out of 15 teams through two rounds of The Prestige at PGA West. The Toreros combined for team scores of 300-299 to finish the first day at 599 (+23). The final round will be played Tuesday morning at the Greg Norman Course. The top five teams include Stanford (569), UCLA (570), UC Irvine (574), Minnesota (580) and UC Davis (588). The top three individuals include UC Irvine's Jay Choe (70-67; 137), Stanford's Zach Miller (71-67; 138) and Minnesota's Ben Pisani (70-70; 140). USD's players include Darrin Hall (T19 at 146; 71-75), Bucky Coe (T27 at 148; 75-73), Dale Smith (T32 at 149; 74-75), Brian Phan (T57 at 156; 80-76), and Joe Panzeri (T67 at 158; 82-76). USD's Kenneth McCready, playing as an individual, carded a 159 (81-78).
