(La Quinta, Calif.) - The USD men's golf team shot a final round team score of 311 to finish with a three-round total of 910 and 14th place finish at The Prestige at PGA West collegiate golf tournament. Stanford (849) edged out UCLA (851) for team honors, with UC Irvine (859), Minnesota (870), USC (877) & Kansas (877) rounding out the top 5. Stanford's Zack Miller took home medalist honors with his 9-under par 207 (71-67-69). He beat out Jay Choe of UC Irvine (210), Lucas Lee of UCLA (210), Tyler Docking of Kansas (211), Ben Pisani of Minnesota (211) and Gary Woodland of Kansas (211).
USD's top finisher was Darrin Hall who finished in a tie for 35th at 224 (71-75-78). He was followed by Bucky Coe (T39 at 225; 75-73-77), Dale Smith (T51 at 229; 74-75-80), Brian Phan (T61 at 232; 80-76-76) and Joe Panzeri (T72 at 239; 82-76-81). Kenneth McCready, playing as an individual, finished in 68th at 236 (81-78-77).
