Crick Ties For 9th At SCU Invitational

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sophomore Brandon Crick shot a final-round 76 to finish tied for ninth while freshman Kyle Huss fired a final-round 75 to tie for 13th at the SCU Invitational Tuesday at the par 72, 7004-yard Silver Creek Valley Country Club.

The Bulldogs finished ninth overall after a 306 Tuesday for a 54-hole score of 891. The Bulldogs shot 292-293 on Monday.

Crick, fourth after Monday's 36-holes, posted rounds of 70-68-75, while Huus, seventh entering Tuesday's final round, had rounds of 69-72-75.

Nick Delio walked away with medalist honors after rounds of 69-67-67 for a 203 and a 6-stroke victory over Tim Lynch of host Santa Clara University.

The University of Portland came from eight strokes off the pace to capture the team title at 858, SCU taking second at 859 and Monday leader and 33rd-ranked University of Oklahoma slipping to third at 861.

The tournament wrapped up the fall season for the men.
