San Jose, CA (Oct. 24) -- The Loyola Marymount University men's golf team finished the 2006 Santa Clara Invitational with a third round score of 307, giving them a three-round total of 890. The Lions finished in seventh place out of 17 teams on Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomore Brian Locke and junior Jason D'Amore finished in a tie for fourth out of 88 golfers with scores of 215, one-under par. Locke posted a 73 on Tuesday to earn his 11th career top-10 finish. D'Amore posted a 77 on Tuesday and dropped to fourth after leading the field on Monday.
Junior Josh Escobedo was third for the Lions and in a tie for 46th overall with a final score of 227. Sophomore Joe Stassi posted a 236, good for 76th while sophomore Louie Bergna came in at 82nd with a 239.
The Lions will play at the Bill Cullum Invitational on Oct. 30-31.
