Pepperdine Tied for 11th with Nearly Two Rounds Complete at CordeValle Collegiate

The Pepperdine men's golf team is currently tied for 11th place with nearly two rounds complete at the CordeValle Collegiate hosted by UCLA at the par-72, 7,119-yard CordeValle Country Club that opened Monday in San Martin, California. Play was suspended due to darkness before the second round could be completed and will resume on Tuesday with a shotgun start beginning at 7 a.m.

Third-round play will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m.

After opening with a 3-over 291 in the first round, the Waves are 4-under par through 16 holes of their second round. Pepperdine is tied with Notre Dame at 1-under par.

Stanford is the current leader at 22-under par, including 15-under par on its second round. Lamar is second at 14-under par, while Arizona (12-under) and Coastal Carolina (11 under) are for third and fourth, respectively.

Northwestern and USC are tied for fifth at 9-under par.

Pepperdine junior Jesse Barnsley shot a first-round 3-under par 69 and is tied for 10th with four other players at 5-under par after completing 34 holes.

Junior Eric Shriver carded a first-round 3-over par 75 and is at even-par after completing 16 holes of his second round.

Stanford's Zack Miller leads the individual standings with a 9-under par total of 135. Miller was one of 47 players to complete both rounds.
