USD GOLFERS IN 4TH PLACE AFTER 1 ROUND AT HAWAII FALL INTERCOLLEGIATE

(Hilo, HI) - The USD men's golf team finds itself in 4th place out of 16 teams after the first of three days at the University of Hawaii Fall Intercollegiate. The Toreros shot a team total of 290 (2 over par) and trail LMU (280), New Mexico State (287) and host Hawaii (288). LMU's Brian Locke is the first round leader after carding a 4-under-par 68. USD's Darrin Hall is tied for 2nd with four others at 69 (34-35). Hall is followed by Dale Smith (T14 at 72), Jake Yount (T28 at 73), Joe Panzeri (T55 at 76) and Kenneth McCready (T69 at 78). Second round play continues on Tuesday, with the final round scheduled for Wednesday.
