USD MEN'S GOLF MOVES INTO 2ND PLACE AT HAWAII FALL INTERCOLLEGIATE

(Hilo, HI) - The USD men's golf team shot a second round team score of 290 today to move into 2nd place by themselves at the University of Hawaii Fall Intercollegiate. USD, with a two-round total of 580, finds itself 6 strokes off the pace of leader Loyola Marymount (280-294; 574). San Diego State, Saint Mary's College, College of Charleston and New Mexico State are all tied for 3rd at 582 in the 16 team tournament. LMU's Brian Locke and College of Charleston's Gari Maton are tied for first at 139 (5 under par). USD's Darrin Hall followed is opening 69 with a 71, and finds himself just one shot out of the lead at 140. New Mexico State's Matt Edwards (140), SDSU's Aaron Goldberg (142) and Saint Mary's Joshua Kelley (142) round out the top 5. Hall is followed by Torero teammates Jake Yount (T7th at 143; 73-70), Dale Smith (T20th at 146; 72-74), Joe Panzeri (T50th at 151; 76-75) and Kenneth McCready (T65th at 153; 78-75). Final round play is on Wednesday.
