The West Coast Conference Men's Golf Championships will be held at the La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc, California. The two-day event will take place on Monday, April 16 through Tuesday, April 17th. This season marks the 40th annual men's championships. Last season the Loyola Marymount men took home their first conference golf championship in program history, unseating Pepperdine which had won it the previous seven seasons. The Toreros, under the direction of 4th year head coach Tim Mickelson, will be gunning for their first WCC title, and second straight appearance in the NCAA Championships. This season the Toreros have placed 5th or better in five tournaments. Sophomore Darrin Hall leads the Toreros with a 72.17 stroke average. USD has never won the WCC title, but have placed 2nd on five occasions, the last in 1998.
