Five schools to represent West Coast Conference in NCAA Golf Regionals

INDIANAPOLIS -- Saint Mary's, the 2013 West Coast Conference champion, earned a No. 4 seed and will play in Pullman, Wash. in the 2013 NCAA Regionals. BYU, San Diego and San Francisco also earned spots in the NCAA Regionals, while Loyola Marymount's Tyler Torano was selected to play as an individual.

The Gaels will be the No. 4 seed out of 14 teams at the NCAA Regionals in Pullman hosted by Washington State. SMC won the 2013 WCC title and earned the conference's automatic NCAA bid by finishing two strokes ahead of San Francisco back in mid-April at the WCC Championship in Bremerton, Wash. Saint Mary's will be joined by BYU in Pullman. BYU's Zac Blair and Saint Mary's senior Ben Geyer were the WCC Co-Players of the Year.

San Francisco is headed to Columbus, Ohio as a No. 10 seed. San Diego will play at the Golden Eagle Golf and Country Club in Tallahassee, Florida. USD's Grant Forrest shot a 74-67-69-210 (-6) to win the WCC individual title a few weeks ago.

Loyola Marymount's Tyler Torano earned an individual nod into the NCAA Regionals and will compete at the ASU Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz.

The top five teams and best individual finishers not on the advancing teams will move on to the NCAA Championships. The regionals will take place from May 16th to the 18th, while the championships will be played from May 28th to June 2nd at The Capital City Club in Atlanta, Georgia.
