May 31, 2006

Norman, Okla. - Pepperdine senior Alex Coe, who helped lead the Waves to the NCAA Championships, was named to the 2006 All-Pacific Region Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on Wednesday.

Coe, who was one of 17 players selected all-region, currently tops Pepperdine with a 72.39 stroke average and was tabbed All-West Coast Conference (WCC) earlier this season.

He claimed medalist honors at the General Jim Hackler Invitational - his second victory in the event in three years - and had eight Top 20 finishes, including six Top 10 showings.

Coe and the Pepperdine men's golf team open play today at the NCAA Division I Golf Championships at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. All the action can be followed live on the Internet at www. Golfstat.com
