Locke Begins Summer Against Nation's Best

Johnstown, PENN (June 18) - Loyola Marymount men's golfer Brian Locke, the 2007 West Coast Conference Player of the Year, began what will be a bust summer season at the 2007 Sunnehanna Amateur at the Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, Penn., June 7-10. Playing against the nation's best amateurs, Locke finished in a tie for 27th out of 71 golfers.

The Sunnehanna Amateur has become one of the top summer tournaments, featuring the nation's top rated amateur players from the high school and college level. Locke shot rounds of 70, 70, 69 and 79 to finish with a four-round 288.

Locke had nine birdies on the Par-70, 6,868-yard course.
