Crick's Lead Shrinks To Two

LINCOLN, Neb. - Only two golfers shot under par Wednesday in difficult scoring conditions at Firethorn Golf Club, and both will be rewarded with a spot in the final group with tournament leader Brandon Crick of McCook, Neb., and a Gonzaga University sophomore.

Trent Price posted the tournament's low round with a 4-under par 67. He is tied for third at 218 with Nebraska match play champion John Hurley of O'Neill. Mike Vanier finished at 1-under par 70 and is two shots back of Crick at 217. Crick shot a 4-over par 75 Wednesday and stands at 2-over par 215 four the tournament.

Crick was named the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year this past spring for the Bulldogs.

Final round action takes place Thursday beginning at 7:30 a.m. CDT off the first tee. Crick, Vanier and Price will tee off at 10:30 a.m. CDT Hurley, Ty Capps of Lincoln and Andy Sajevic of Fremont begin play at 10:20 a.m. CDT.
