RENO, Nev. - Trevor Loe was in a nine-way tie for 11th after two rounds of the Wolf Pack Classic men's golf tournament Monday, but Gonzaga University was 16th after 36 holes.
Loe had rounds of 74-68 for a 36-hole total of 142 which left him 10 strokes behind Dustin Pimm of the University of Utah heading into Tuesday's final round. Pimm shot a pair of 66's on Monday for a 132 and a 3-stroke lead over Nick Travers of Boise State University.
The Bulldogs did rally for a second-round score of 290 after shooting a 302 in the first round. The next closest Bulldogs to Loe were Brandon Crick, Jimmy Hayes and Reyn Tanaka who were all in a 12-way tie for 66th at 150. Loe's second-round 68 and Tanaka's second-round 72 were the only two rounds lower than 74 for the Bulldogs over the 7,100-yard, par 72 Wolf Run Golf Course.
Utah was the 36-hole leader at 562 for a 2-shot lead over Iowa State University while the Bulldogs were at 592, two shots behind the University of Louisiana-Monroe for 15th.
