Pacific's Byron Meth Named WCC Men's Golf Player of the Month for September

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its Men’s Golf Player of the Month for September.

Pacific’s Byron Meth opened up his senior campaign the way he left off his junior season as the Tiger ace took home the tournament title at the Nick Watney Invitational to end the month. Meth put together a stellar showing in Fresno as the senior carded a –10, 206 to take the title and lead Pacific to the team title as well. The –10 was the second best score of Meth's career bolstered by his best single round score of –7, 65 on Monday afternoon in round two. Meth's seven-under in round two helped propel the Tigers to their second best single round score in program history as Pacific went 18-under to dominate the day and with the tournament by 20 strokes.

In addition to his first place finish at the Watney Invitational, Meth took home a top-10 finish at the Saint Mary's Invitational to begin the month as he placed seventh with a two-under, 214. Meth is the defending WCC Championship Medalist and won the 2014 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
