Three Louisville players shot even-par scores of 72 on Monday to help the 16th-ranked Cardinals grab the first-round lead at The Club Glove Intercollegiate that is being contested at the par-72, 6,985-yard Saticoy Country Club in Somis, California.
Louisville, which posted an opening-round score of 1-over par 289, has a two-shot lead over second-place and host Pepperdine. The Waves are at 3-over par 291 while No. 10 Lamar is in third place with an 8-over par total of 296.
Xavier's Jason Kokrak is the first-round individual leader after shooting a 2-under par 70. A group of three players, including Pepperdine junior Jesse Barnsley, is one-shot back after carding a 1-under total of 71.
