San Francisco senior Taylor Travis is WCC Men's Golfer of the Month

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to recognize its October Men's Golfer of the Month, Taylor Travis from the University of San Francisco.

MEN'S GOLFER OF THE MONTH
TAYLOR TRAVIS, SAN FRANCISCO

San Francisco senior Taylor Travis is the WCC Men's Golfer of the Month for October. Travis had two top-five finishes in October, including placing second against a loaded field at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif.

Travis, who won the 2011 WCC Men's Golf Individual Championship, led the Dons to a fourth-place finish in the Fighting Irigh Gridiron Classic in South Bend, Ind. at the beginning of October. Travis shot a 72-71-73-216 to tie for fifth in the tournament.

To wrap up the fall season, Travis followed up his performance at ND with a 66-65-70-201 at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif., good for a runner-up finish. As a team, the Dons placed second behind No. 1 California.
