Aaron Chandler scored with just over four minutes left in regulation to give eighth ranked USF a 2-1 win over Cal State Northridge, ruining the Matadors' home opener.
USF (5-0-1) got on the board first when Ardalan Attar scored with just 12 seconds remaining in the first half, blasting a low shot just inside the right post.
The Dons, who allowed a late goal in their last contest to allow Ohio State a tie, again gave up a goal in the 80th minute, this time scored by former St. Mary's forward Michael Clegg. Clegg's goal was just the second allowed by the Dons this season.
