SAN FRANCISCO CAPTURES WCC TITLE
The West Coast Conference title came down to two matches Sunday, with first place San Francisco taking on Loyola Marymount and second place Gonzaga playing at Saint Mary's. The Dons had a three point lead going into the games Sunday needing a Gonzaga loss to seal the title, and that is exactly what they got as the Gaels shutout the Zags, 4-0. San Francisco's loss to the Lions became moot as it maintained the three point lead. With their draw against Santa Clara, the Toreros moved into a tie for second place.
