Moraga, CA- Saint Mary's College second-year head men's soccer coach Adam Cooper today announced his 2007 schedule. The Gaels will play 18 regular season games next year, which include eight home contests and two tournament games.
Saint Mary's will play six non-conference games, with the season opening at the Davidson Tournament in Davidson, NC on August 31 and September 2. SMC will open against host Davidson and then face UNC Charlotte.
The Gaels then open their home slate against CSU Bakersfield on September 8. The next week SMC stays at the friendly confines of Saint Mary's Stadium to host Wright State on September 16.
Saint Mary's puts a close to non-conference play with a road contest at Sacramento State on September 21 and then a home game against San Jose State on September 23.
SMC then opens West Coast Conference play with three home games from Saint Mary's Stadium. The Gaels open their conference slate against Gonzaga on October 5. Saint Mary's will then play Portland on October 7 and the defending champs Santa Clara on October 14.
The Gaels then head south to face San Diego and LMU on October 19 and 21 before having to face rival San Francisco two games in a row. SMC will play USF on the road on October 26 and return home to face the Dons on October 28.
Saint Mary's then heads out on its final road swing of the regular season. SMC will play at Portland on November 2 and then keep north to face Gonzaga on November 4. The Gaels round out their road slate at rival Santa Clara on November 11.
The Gaels then return home to face San Diego and LMU. The last homestand is slated for November 16 and 18.
