Men's Soccer Announces Their 2007 Schedule

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego men's soccer head coach Seamus McFadden announced their 2007 schedule which begins with a home opener against Cal Berkeley at Torero Stadium on Friday, August 31.

The Toreros will face six in 2007 that made an appearance in the NCAA 2006 tournament, including the Bruins of UCLA who lost in the championship match to UC Santa Barbara.

The Toreros have on the schedule 12 home matches this season and eight road matches. Only two if their eight pre-season matches are on the road when USD will travel to the East Coast to take on Hofstra and Long Island University.

To kickoff the pre-season events for the men's soccer season, the team will hold their sixth annual USD Men's Soccer Golf Tournament. The scramble format tournament will be held at Mt. Woodson Golf Club on August 24th, 2007 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the tournament will be a silent auction, reception, awards and dinner which begins at 5:00 p.m.
