SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its Men's Soccer Player of the Week for September 29, 2014.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - PATRICK ZIMMER, JR., D - SAN DIEGO
Junior defender Patrick Zimmer scored the game-winning goal in the Toreros' 1-0 upset over No. 1 UCLA Friday evening. In the 15th minute, Zimmer poked in Darragh Vieyra's free kick after the Bruin goalie bobbled the ball. Zimmer is in his first year at San Diego after transferring from West Florida, and this was his first career shot attempt and goal as a Torero. This is the second straight year USD has knocked off a No. 1 ranked team and this time it was in front of a record breaking crowd at Torero Stadium (4,432).

Also nominated: Julio Cervantes, Pacific; Chase Hauser, San Francisco
