Toreros Travel To UCLA Tuesday, Home Against Santa Clara Sunday

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Torero men's soccer team (2-4-1) continues their So-Cal rivalry with the UCLA Bruins (3-4-1) this week as they travel to Drake Stadium in Los Angeles Tuesday evening for their 7:00 match.

The Bruins are coming off a 3-0 loss to Cal State Northridge last Saturday, the first loss to the Matadors in the program's history. Northridge out-shot UCLA 15-4, 11 shots of which were on goal. CS Northridge scored their three goals of the match in a span of ten minutes in the second half.

Following their Tuesday match, men's soccer will open conference play on Sunday, October 7 at home against the Santa Clara University Broncos. SCU recently upset UCLA in a 2-1 overtime victory. The Broncos had the weekend off in preparation for WCC play to begin. They face Loyola Marymount this Friday in Los Angeles before traveling to Torero Stadium to face USD, the match is scheduled at 2:00 p.m.
