SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Men's Soccer Player of the Week for October 7, 2013.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ALEX BRAMAN, SAINT MARY'S, FRESHMAN, DEFENDER
Freshman Alex Braman scored twice in the Gaels' two matches last weeked, including the tying goal in a 1-1 draw against Gonzaga. Braman scored the tying goal on a free kick to make the score 1-1 in the first half of the Gaels' 3-2 overtime victory over Portland. He then sat out the second half of the game due to an injury after preventing a Portland breakaway. Versus Gonzaga, Braman scored on a corner and became the team's leading scorer as a freshman with two goals and an assist for nine total points on the season. Braman is also one of three players to have started all 10 matches this season.
