USF's Brendan Roslund Named WCC Player of the Week Second Week in a Row

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced its men's soccer Player of the Week award-winner for October 10, 2011.

BRENDAN ROSLUND, JR., GK, SAN FRANCISCO

San Francisco junior goalkeeper Brendan Roslund is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week for men's soccer. The reigning WCC Player of the Week kept the Dons unbeaten in league play with a road shutout win at Santa Clara on Wednesday and a 0-0 double overtime shutout result against Saint Mary's on Sunday. Roslund has recorded four shutouts in the last five matches.

Roslund made eight saves against the Gaels and faced 19 shots. He tallied three saves in the South Bay against the Broncos on 15 shots. USF is unbeaten in its last six matches at 4-0-2 and has allowed just one goal in WCC play this season. The Dons are currently riding a scoreless streak of 279:03.
