SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced its men's soccer Player of the Week award-winner for October 17, 2011.
ARTUR JOZKOWICZ, F/MF, LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
Loyola Marymount senior forward/midfielder Artur Jozkowicz is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week for men's soccer. Jozkowicz assisted LMU's game-winning goal on Friday against Santa Clara, then went on to score the game-winner Sunday against San Francisco as the Lions went 2-0 in West Coast Conference play.
The senior forward/midfielder, who played all 187 minutes in the two matches, was the set-up man for John McFarlin's overtime game-winner against the Broncos. On Sunday, Jozkowicz scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 76th minute off a long cross from Jonas Reiter, leading LMU to a 2-1 win over the Dons. With the two wins, the Lions moved to 3-3 in WCC play and currently sit in fourth place.
