Julian Ringhof Earns All-District 8 First Team Academic Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - San Diego senior defender Julian Ringhof was named to the 2013 Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team District 8 First Team as released by the organization today. 

As selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, the teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average, play in at least half their team's games and be at least a sophomore in eligibility. 

A mechanical engineering major, Ringhof (Sexau, Germany) has appeared in 12 matches for the Toreros with 11 starting assignments and owns a goal and an assist so far in his final collegiate season. 

Ringhof helped USD advance to the 2012 NCAA Quarterfinals in his first year, capturing NSCAA All-Region (3rd) selection after starting all 22 matches for the Toreros as a junior. Ringhof was named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
