Josten District All-Academic Repeater

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University junior forward George Josten has been named to the ESPN The Magazine College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) District VIII All-Academic men's soccer team for a second straight year.

Josten carries a 3.85 GPA in civil engineering. The native of Idaho Falls, Idaho, was a third team ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America selection last season.

Josten is currently tied for the West Coast Conference lead in goals with 9 and points with 22 after leading the WCC in both categories in 2005 with 12 goals and 29 points.

Josten will now go on the national ballot for Academic All-America honors. He was one of five West Coast Conference student-athletes on the 12-member District VIII team.
