SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Men's Soccer Player of the Week for November 4, 2013.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CARLOS MONTES, SR., F, SANTA CLARA
Santa Clara senior Carlos Montes is the West Coast Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week. Montes tallied two game-winning goals this past weekend, lifting the Broncos to wins at Portland and at Gonzaga. In the match at Portland, Montes knocked in the lone-goal in the 98th minute to give the Broncos the victory. Less than five minutes into the second half at Gonzaga, a throw-in play gave Montes a shot 15 yards out giving Santa Clara the go-ahead goal and the eventual victory.
The senior forward has put away three game-winning goals for the Broncos in WCC play.
