SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Men's Soccer Player of the Month for October 2013.

Adrien Perez led Loyola Marymount with three goals and four assists in six games played during the month of October, leading the Lions to a 4-1-1 record in the first half of the West Coast Conference schedule.
The freshman forward began the month by scoring his third collegiate goal at San Diego on Oct. 2 in the league opener, an eventual 2-2 double-overtime draw. Four days later, Perez contributed a goal and an assist in LMU's 4-0 shutout of Santa Clara. He assisted the Lions' lone goal in a 2-1 setback at Gonzaga, tallied an assist in a 2-1 win at Portland, then had a goal and assist in a 2-1 double-overtime victory against Saint Mary's. The Ontario, Calif. native leads the Lions in scoring with five goals, and is tied for the team lead in points with 14 (5g, 4 a). Perez ranks second among league leaders in shots (46), points, goals (5) and is third in assists (4).
