WCC Soccer Players Named Academic All-District

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Fifteen West Coast Conference men's and women's soccer players were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 8 Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced.

Twelve WCC women's soccer players were named to the Academic All-District 8 Teams. Only the Pac-10 had more players named to the team with 14. Leading the way for the WCC was the University of Portland, which landed the most players of any program in District 8 with six players named Academic All-District. Stanford had the next most players with five.

Portland's Danielle Foxhoven and Jessica Tsao were first team selections, along with Loyola Marymount's Kim Feeney and Santa Clara's Kiki Bosio, and are now eligible for Academic All-America consideration. Selected to the second team was Loyola Marymount's Lacey Bartels, Pepperdine's Kelly Reilly, and Santa Clara's Jordan Angeli. Portland's Kelsey Davis, Kendra Chandhoke, Michelle Enyeart and Elli Reed, along with LMU's Katrina Chong, were third team honorees.

On the men's side, Gonzaga's Nick Barclay, Saint Mary's Dylan Leslie, and Santa Clara's Ross Smith were selected to the District 8 first team.
