Anteaters Defeat Men's Tennis, 6-1

IRVINE, Calif. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis program played its third straight match in as many days in Southern California as the Bulldogs squared off with UC Irvine on Tuesday afternoon. Gonzaga played tough at several singles positions with Cooper Fratt winning at No. 4 singles, but UC Irvine captured the match 6-1.

Fratt won his match over Hesham Kenawy in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. Transfer Charles Adams continued to be a solid addition to the team playing to three sets at No. 6 singles. Douglas Taylor was able to win the third set tiebreaker 10-8 to win the point for the Anteaters.

Gonzaga returns to action with a Wednesday match against Rice University in San Diego. GU fell to 1-11 while UCI improved to 8-8.
