No. 2 Men's Tennis Defeats Princeton 6-1; Picks Up Second Win of the Day

Malibu, Calif. - After defeating Pacific 6-1 Saturday morning, the No. 2 Pepperdine men's team picked up its second win as it defeated Princeton 6-1 at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center in Malibu, Calif. The Waves moved to 18-1, while the Tigers dropped to 4-5 on the season.

Pepperdine won the doubles point as it swept all three matches. No. 35 Ivor Lovrak and Pedro Rico topped Alex Vuckovic 8-2 and on court three Richard Johnson and Omar Altmann came from behind to defeat Shannon Morales and Darius Craton 8-5. No. 1 Scott Doerner and Andre Begemann picked up their second win of the day defeating Hans Plukas and Andrew Lieu 8-5.

In singles, Doerner, Rico, Begemann and Altmann all went 2-0 on the day. Altmann and Begemann defeated their opponents in the tiebreaker.

Pepperdine is next in action on Wednesday, March 22 when it faces No. 24 Washington at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center in Malibu, Calif.
