USF Men's Tennis Falls to No. 28 Cal Bears 4-3

March 19, 2006

(Pebble Beach, CA) - With a breezy wind and long shadows cast at the Pebble Beach & Tennis Club, USF met Cal for the first time in 25 years and fell 4-3. The Dons gave it their all, but the Bears proved to be too much.

Freshman Mitch Del Rosario and Senior Fernando Rodriguez scored the only victory for the Dons, an 8-7 win over Cal's No. 2 team of seniors Dean Wallace and Lennart Maack.

USF returns to action on March 27 in Eugene, OR. The match against the University of Oregon begins at 1:00 PM.
