Men's Tennis Pulls Out Exciting 4-3 Victory Over USF

Moraga, CA - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team defeated San Francisco in an exciting match on Wednesday afternoon at the Korth Tennis Complex on the Saint Mary's campus. The Gaels beat the Dons 4-3, to improve to 5-7 on the year.

The Gaels won the doubles point after Julien Tizot and Martin Marechal won their match 8-6 and Achim Christner and Yury Platonov won 8-4.

In singles action, Marechal won easily in straight sets 6-0, 6-3 and Platonov won in straight sets as well 6-4, 6-0. At No. 6 singles, Alp Ozpinar won 2-6, 7-5, 6-2 in a hard fought match giving the Gaels four points.

Saint Mary's returns to action on Saturday, April 8 when it hosts Nevada at noon.
