Men's Tennis Drops Tough Match Against San Francisco

San Francisco, CA - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team began the match with singles action and lost 4-2 to San Francisco on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco. The Gaels began doubles play by winning one match and were ahead in the final two before rain forced a postponement.

The Gaels beat the Dons 4-3 earlier in the week at the Korth Tennis Complex, but with the loss Saint Mary's falls to 6-8 on the season.

In singles action, Julien Tizot won 7-6 (7-1), 4-6, 6-1 and Achim Christner won 6-2, 6-1 to give the Gaels their first two points. In doubles action, Tizot and Martin Marechal won their match 8-2.

The Gaels will try and finish the match on Tuesday, April 11 at San Francisco. Saint Mary's will also host Loyola Marymount at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 10 at the Korth Tennis Complex.
