Men's Tennis Beats 23rd-Ranked Boise State 5-2

(Boise, ID) - The 37th-ranked USD Toreros won their fifth straight match with today's impressive 5-2 win at 23rd-ranked Boise State. With the win the Toreros improve to 13-5 on the season and solidify their bid for a four straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament in May. After losing all three doubles matches to fall behind 1-0, the Toreros won five of six singles matches to clinch the victory. Senior Pierrick Ysern (Paris, France), ranked 47th in the nation, handed 29th-ranked Luke Shields a 6-1, 7-5 straight set loss. USD also received singles wins from Thomas Liversage at No. 3, Mirza Koristovic at No. 4, Ryo Sekiguchi at No. 5 and Jonas Mouly at No. 6, the last three all winning three-set matches. USD is now off until the WCC Championships which will be held at Saint Mary's College in Moraga, California over April 21-23.
