(San Francisco) - USF men's tennis had its two-match winning streak halted by visiting Cal Poly, 5-2 in non-conference play Thursday afternoon at the Olympic Club. USF (7-13) plays just one more tune-up prior to competing in the 2006 West Coast Conference Championship, while the Mustangs (11-8) capture their fourth straight win.
High points for the Dons in doubles was Korbi Kramer and Matt Berry playing solid at the No. 2 spot. In singles action, Matt Berry beat the nationally ranked John Nguygen, gaining strenght in each set. Berry demonstrated his solid ground strokes. Also winning was Mitch Del Rosario who recorded a decisive victory against Darryn Young at No. 6. Del Rosario showed his powerful first serve and big forehand.
San Francisco closes out the 2006 regular season against the University of Pacific on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
