No. 18 Pepperdine Tops Saint Mary's, 4-0, to Advance to WCC Title Match

San Diego, Calif. - The 18th-ranked Pepperdine men's tennis team posted a 4-0 victory over Saint Mary's Saturday afternoon on the campus of the University of San Diego to advance to the championship match of the West Coast Conference (WCC) Championships.

The Waves (21-7) will be searching for their 17th straight WCC crown and 38th overall when they face the host Toreros on Sunday beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Pepperdine captured the doubles point as the tandems of Andre Begemann and Mahmoud Kamel, and Bassam Beidas and James Lemke recorded victories.

In singles action, Kamel, playing at No. 6, Omar Altmann, at No. 5, and Lemke (No. 3) registered wins.
