Zags Unable to Advance Past Round Of 16

Santa Clara, Calif. - Neither Marco Pineda or Cooper Fratt of the Gonzaga University men's tennis team were unable to advance past the round of 16 Saturday in the second day of the 2006 Bronco Invitational hosted by Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, Calif.

Cooper Fratt faced off against Stanford University's Chris Rasmussen in the round of the 16 in the main draw of the Singles Flight B. Fratt was unable to advance in the main draw, falling 6-1, 6-3.

In the main draw of the Singles Flight C, Marco Pineda faced Blaine Shields of Santa Clara in the round of 16. Pineda fell to Shields 6-4, 6-2.

The Bulldogs' Charles Adams, Bryce Cooper, Roman Dojcak and Zach Radetzky all participated in the consolation bracket of the Singles Flight A draw.

The Zags will hit the courts against Sunday in the final day of the 2006 Bronco Invitational.
