The three Bay Area schools finished in the middle of the pack. Santa Clara landed in fourth with 44 points. San Francisco took fifth with 34 points, and Saint Mary's was sixth with 29 points. Of the top six teams in the preseason poll, five are currently ranked in the ITA rankings.

The men's preseason all-conference team included familiar names from last season's all-conference list in Pepperdine juniors Finn Tearney and Sebastian Fanselow and San Diego seniors Nicola Bubnic and Patrick Pohlmann. This past fall, Tearney was one of six at-large selections for the USTA/ITA Southwest Regional and advanced to the semifinals. Bubnic earned WCC Doubles Honors in November 2011 after taking home the doubles title with partner Thibaut Visy at the USTA/ITA Southwest Regional. Pohlmann finished the fall with a 4-3 singles mark after being ranked No. 122 in the fall ITA ranking.
The new additions to the preseason all-conference team are Pepperdine junior Mousheg Hovhannisyan and BYU senior Georgy Batrakov. Hovhannisyan concluded the fall campaign with a team-high nine singles victories, while Batrakov made his way to the Round of 16 of the ITA All-American Championships.
