No. 59 Saint Mary's Falls to Toreros

San Diego, CA - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team dropped today's match against conference opponent San Diego. Saint Mary's, who came into the match with a national ranking of No. 59 fell to the toreros 7-0.

The Gaels were on the road and feeling under the weather when they faced San Diego today and the toreros took advantage. The toreros swept the Gaels in singles play. This marked the first loss of the season for Andre Sion. Sion's record falls to 4-1 in singles play.

On the doubles side Adam Fauvre and Alp Ozpinar won their match 8-7. The close match saw Fauvre and Ozpinar win in a tie-breaker 7-4.

Saint Mary's looks to right the ship this Sunday, February 11 against conference rival Loyola Marymountin their home opener. The match is slated for 11:00 a.m. at the Korth Tennis Complex.
