SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announces its men’s tennis weekly honors for singles and doubles competition for February 18, 2014.

MEN’S TENNIS SINGLES PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JAMES TALLMAN, JR., SAN FRANCISCO
Playing his first season of collegiate tennis, redshirt junior James Tallman is putting together an impressive 2014 campaign for the Dons. Last week, playing out of the No. 3 singles position, Tallman took care of Fresno State's John Darmstaedter, 7-6 (2), 6-4, to earn a crucial point in the 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs.

The singles win marks his third in a row. The Del Paso Heights, Calif., native picked up USF's only point at #44 Washington, defeating Emmett Egger 6-3, 4-6, 10-8, and then knocked off Idaho's Artemiy Nitikin in USF's 5-2 win over the Vandals. Both wins were from the No. 2 position. Tallman is 3-1 in the dual match season, and coupling that with a 5-2 fall record, he has compiled an overall mark of 8-3 for USF.
