Malibu, Calif. - The No. 2 Pepperdine men's tennis team begins its six-match home stand on Thursday, March 2 when it faces No. 36 Michigan at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center in Malibu, Calif. Action is slated for 11 a.m.
The Waves (13-1) are coming off of a week break after competing at the ITA National Men's Team Indoor Championships where they advanced to the finals for the first time since 1986. Pepperdine suffered its first loss of the season after Georgia defeated them 4-0 for the title.
Michigan is 6-3 on the season after posting a win over Northwestern this weekend. Leading the Wolverines is the doubles team of junior Brian Hung and Matko Maravic, who are ranked nationally at No. 9. The duo has won 14 of their last 17 matches dating back to the fall.
The Waves lead the all-time series 3-1 and last met the Wolverines in 1990 when the Waves recorded a 7-0 win.
