SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to recognize its March Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Month, John Lamble from Santa Clara University, and Doubles Players of the Month, Othar Kordsachia and Felix van Kann, from Loyola Marymount University.

MEN'S TENNIS SINGLES PLAYER OF THE MONTH
JOHN LAMBLE, JR., SANTA CLARA

Santa Clara junior John Lamble is the WCC Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Month for March. Lamble, ranked No. 82 in the country, turned in a tremendous March as the leader of the No. 64 Bronco squad. Lamble went 7-2 overall in singles during March including a six match winning streak to kick off the month. His efforts kept the team strong despite missing several starters for the majority of the month, and the Broncos rallied in the rankings as a result, moving up to No. 56 in the April 2 edition.

With three straight wins coming into March, Lamble picked up where he left off, extending his winning streak with an additional six consecutive victories. Lamble's seventh and final win of the month came against LMU, as Lamble rallied after dropping the first set to win 1-6, 6-3, 6-2. This match proved to be key in helping the Broncos win 4-3 and pick up their first conference win of the season.

Loyola Marymount sophomores Othar Kordsachia and Felix van Kann are the WCC Men's Doubles Tennis Players of the Month for March. Kordsachia primarily plays at No. 1 singles while van Kann plays mainly at No. 6 singles, but the two have come together to make quite the doubles team. They have never lost a match while playing together, going 4-0 in the month of March with two matches going unfinished once deemed inconsequential to the doubles point. They have since moved up to play mostly on Court 1 together.

Kordsachia/van Kann have proved to play a crucial role in the team standings for LMU as they defeated the then-No. 47 doubles team of Finn Tearney and Francis Alcantara from then No. 11 Pepperdine, in a near team upset. The duo also claimed doubles victories over UC Riverside, Gonzaga and Santa Clara, and led the then-No. 43 team of Pume/del Nunzio from Oklahoma State before the match went unfinished.
