SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team will host a trio of matches this weekend on Gonzaga's campus in Spokane. Friday, the Bulldogs will host the University of Idaho at 3 p.m. Whitman College will make short trip to the Zags' campus Saturday at 2 p.m., while the weekend winds down with Lewis-Clark State College Sunday at 11 a.m.
The Bulldogs enter the weekend looking to improve on their 9-12 overall record before heading to the West Coast Conference Tournament April 20-22 in San Diego, Calif.
Of the three opponents this weekend, the Bulldogs have already faced Lewis-Clark State, who currently maintains a 9-9 record. On March 31, as part of the Boise State University Spring Break Tournament, the Zags defeated the Warriors 7-0. Idaho travels to Spokane with a 12-8 overall record, while Whitman is 21-4 for the season.
In singles play, Marco Antonio Pineda leads the Zags with a 13-8 mark in spring action, including posting a 9-3 record when playing at No. 4.
All three matches will take place at the tennis courts just northwest of the Martin Centre on Gonzaga's campus.
