Men's Tennis Called Due To Rain

SPOKANE, Wash - - The Gonzaga University men's tennis match against Lewis-Clark State College that was scheduled for Sunday as been canceled due to wet conditions thanks to rain earlier in the morning. The match had been scheduled for 2 p.m. at the tennis courts on the Bulldogs' campus.

Earlier this season, as part of the Boise State University Spring Break Tournament, the Zags (11-12) defeated the Warriors (9-9) 7-0.

Sunday's match was the third scheduled home match of the weekend for Gonzaga. Friday, the Bulldogs defeated the University of Idaho 4-3 as senior Bryce Cooper sealed the victory with a three-set victory at No. 1 singles. Saturday evening, the Zags downed Whitworth College 5-1 to mark their fifth straight victory.

Gonzaga will look to continue its wining ways Tuesday, when they host Eastern Washington University at 3 p.m. at the Bulldogs' home courts. The match will mark the second time in the past week that the two teams have met on the courts. Last Thursday, the Zags defeated the Eagles 5-2 in Cheney, Wash.
