SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has announced its men's tennis weekly honors for singles and doubles competition for April 16, 2014.

Ilya Osintsev, the No. 2 singles player for No. 64 Santa Clara, picked up one of the Broncos' biggest individual wins this season in the team's 4-2 upset of No. 39 Oregon. The lefty defeated Robin Cambier, ranked No. 59 in the country, in straight sets, 7-5, 7-6. Cambier had recently defeated No. 1 USC's Ray Sarmiento, ranked No. 3 nationally. The upset was the biggest victory of the season for the Broncos and one of the biggest wins in Santa Clara tennis history.

Against Portland, Osintsev was excellent once again. The junior beat Reid Delaubenfels 6-4, 7-5 in the Broncos' 4-3 loss. A three-time WCC Player of the Week, Osintsev improved to 12-1 during the regular season and 15-2 in 2013-14.

Last week, Pepperdine traveled to both Pacific and Saint Mary's, winning 4-1 on both accounts to improve to 8-0 in the West Coast Conference. Although the Tigers' Marlon Brand and Daniel Alameh, as well as Joakim Norstrom and Thomas Hunt of Saint Mary's, both challenged Sarkissian and Alcantara, the Waves held off any upset bids and won both matches 8-6.
